Materials and finishes for a 3D printed part
Every 3D part is printed in engineering polymers chosen for its use: PLA for detailed indoor shapes, PETG for strength and parts on display, TPU for flexible parts, ABS or Nylon PA12 for technical uses.
Finishing does the rest: raw print, sanding, priming, painting in your brand colours, matt, satin or gloss varnish. Gold, silver or mirror-like effects are achieved with tinted filament or a paint finish. Discover our professional finishes and, for aviation, large format 3D printing for aerospace and industry.
Custom 3D parts: your questions answered
Can you make a 3D part without a 3D file?
Yes. A photo, a sketch, a dimensioned drawing or the object itself is enough to get started: we model the part or digitise it by 3D scanning, then you approve the model before printing.
What is the maximum size of a 3D printed part?
Up to 110ร110ร170 cm in a single piece, with no gluing and no visible joint. Beyond that, the part is designed as several assembled elements, with finishes that hide the seams.
Which materials for a 3D printed part?
We print in FDM plastic: PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS and Nylon PA12. The choice depends on the use โ indoor or outdoor, rigid or flexible, frequent handling โ and is made with you at the quote stage.
Which colours and finishes are possible?
Coloured filament or a painted finish: sanding, priming, painting to your brand colour references, varnish. Gold, silver or mirror-like effects are achieved with tinted filament or a paint finish. Logos and text can be built in as raised details from the modelling stage.
One-off or series: what can you produce?
Both. A one-off part is made with no mould or tooling; for a series, the 3D file is kept and each part is reissued identically, for a store network or a new edition.
How much does a 3D part cost, and how long does it take to make?
Every part is quoted individually, according to its dimensions, complexity, finish and quantity; the production lead time is set in that same quote. Send your project to devis@pami3d.com: free quote within 24 to 48 hours, no obligation.
