Large format 3D printing: parts up to 110×110×170 cm in a single piece
✓ The short answer:
Large format 3D printing builds XXL parts layer by layer in engineering-grade FDM plastic. PAMI3D prints up to 110×110×170 cm in a single piece with no assembly — larger parts are split into sections and then assembled — in PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS or Nylon PA12, finishing included. Made in France (Bonson, Loire). Free quote within 24 to 48 hours.
Up to 110 × 110 × 170 cm in one piece – and beyond, with no size limit, by assembly, for builds over 5 metres. PAMI3D prints in FDM (PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, Nylon PA12) in its workshop in Bonson, France. Free quote within 24 to 48 hours.
Who uses large format 3D printing?
📣 Marketing & trade marketing managers
The problem: your product has to be seen from across the store, in a shop window or at a trade show — and standard displays stay flat.
Our answer: a giant replica of your product or logo, in full 3D, in the exact colours of your brand guidelines — from POS displays to window displays.
📐 Architects & property developers
The problem: a drawing or a render is rarely enough to win over a jury, a council or a buyer.
Our answer: a physical model printed from your BIM or CAD file that everyone can read — see our architectural models.
⚙️ Engineering offices & manufacturers
The problem: validating a shape at full scale before committing to tooling, without investing in a machine.
Our answer: a full-size prototype, a jig or a part in an engineering polymer, printed from your STEP file — see large format prototyping.
🎭 Set designers, events & museums
The problem: a one-off, monumental piece to deliver for an opening date that will not move.
Our answer: stage sets, giant props and replicas made from a scan or a sketch, finished and ready to install — see events & scenography.

What is large format 3D printing?
Large format 3D printing (also called large scale or XXL 3D printing) produces parts far larger than the build plate of a standard printer. At PAMI3D, the technology is fused filament fabrication (FDM): an engineering plastic is laid down layer after layer, with no mould and no tooling, which makes a one-off part as accessible as a short run.

How big can you go? Single piece or assembly
The cutting plan is approved with you before printing starts. That is how we produce full-scale prototypes, museum pieces and form-validation models that exceed the machine volume.

Which materials for a large format 3D printed part?
We print FDM polymers only, chosen according to how the part will be used:
- PLA: detailed shapes, decor, models, indoor POS displays — a bio-based plastic;
- PETG: parts that are handled or on display, signs, translucent versions for backlighting;
- TPU: flexible parts, seals, belts, protective parts;
- ABS: technical parts and prototypes intended to be sanded and painted;
- Nylon PA12: functional parts and tooling that must withstand loads.

Finishing: from raw print to display-ready part

How does a large format 3D printing project work?
① You send us your project
A 3D file (STEP, STL, OBJ) or, failing that, a photo, a sketch or a drawing. No file? We model it, or start from a 3D scan of the object to be scaled up.
② We quote and validate
Material, finish, any cutting plan and the production lead time — set in the quote according to size and complexity. Free quote within 24 to 48 hours, no obligation.
③ We print, finish and deliver
FDM printing in our Bonson workshop, finishing, inspection and packing, then shipping across France and Europe.

Large format 3D printing: your questions answered
How large can you 3D print?
Up to 110×110×170 cm in a single piece in our workshop. Beyond that, the part is cut into sections that slot together and are assembled, then the joints are refinished.
Is a single-piece part better than an assembled one?
A single piece avoids joints, glue lines and weak points: that is our recommendation as long as the part fits within 110×110×170 cm. For anything larger, assembly remains the answer, with a cutting plan approved with you before printing.
Which materials do you use?
FDM plastics only: PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS and Nylon PA12. The material is chosen according to the use — decor, handled part, outdoor, flexible or functional part — and stated in the quote.
I do not have a 3D file — is that a problem?
Not at all. A photo, a sketch, a drawing or an existing object is enough: we model the part or start from a 3D scan. STEP, STL and OBJ files are welcome if you have one.
How much does large format 3D printing cost?
Every part is quoted individually, based on its volume, material, finish and number of copies. Send your project to devis@pami3d.com: free quote within 24 to 48 hours, no obligation.
What is the production lead time?
It is set in the quote according to the size and complexity of the part: a simple object is not scheduled like a painted assembly. The schedule is stated in your quote — free quote within 24 to 48 hours.
Why choose PAMI3D for your large format 3D printing?
Large format in a single piece
Up to 110×110×170 cm with no joint and no gluing: person-sized parts that give volume and impact to your projects.
A service provider, not a machine seller
You buy a finished part, not a printer: no investment, no training, no maintenance on your side.
One-off or series
From a one-off part to a short run, with no mould or tooling; the file is kept so the part can be reissued identically.
Finishing included
Sanding, priming, painting, varnish: the part comes out ready to display, install or test.
Free, no-obligation quote
A specific need, a particular finish: free quote within 24 to 48 hours, including material and production lead time.
